In 2007 a group of women were challenged by their local church to grow a $100.00 into more money that could assist people in the local Community. So the concept of the Pink Pamper Packs was born at a High Tea Fundraiser on International Women’s Day March 2008, converting our $100.00 into $6000.00. To date we have handed out over 300 pamper packs throughout the Redlands Community and over 150 pamper packs through the Chaplains at Redlands Hospital. It was in May of 2010 that the Pink Pamper Committee held a vision/planning day to see what more they could be doing for women. After much consultation and surveying of women it was decided there was a need to create a place for women to come and share experiences but most importantly connect with other women. We are certainly on our way to making the women center a reality. We hope to have the center open 5 days each week in January 2012.
The center aims to provide a number of services for women in the community
- Midwife/Child health nurse
- Legal Support
- Financial Services
- Massage Therapist
We are also aiming to run a number of programs
- Life Skills
- Self Care
- Postnatal Group
- Return to work
- Mentoring
We are getting started on two of our services and that is the Library/Resource Room and Meditation/Quiet Room. We are in need of some bookshelves, pamphlet racks and most importantly any books/magazines/CD’s related to Women. Women’s Health, Pregnancy, Women’s Fitness, Raising Children, Novels/Autobiography’s on Australian Women and other famous women from around the world, Women’s Mind, Women’s Self Care etc.
If you can assist in anyway or would like to find out some more information, please contact Katrina on 0413 295 799 or email her on pinkpamperpacks@iprimus.com.au

A Pink Pamper Pack (PPP) is a beautifully presented gift pack designed to spoil a Woman Struggling through difficult times and is in need of pampering. It is a combination of beauty products, vouchers, decadent food and other items which bring joy to the face of a woman who is struggling.
The PPP project aims to donate two packs per week to Women Struggling through difficult times. This could include new mothers, women suffering depression, isolation, marital problems, a woman in need of thanks who does so much for others, or just simply women in need of some thing special during difficult times in their lives.
The PPP committee continues to need the support of local community to make this project a success for women in the Redlands.
How can you help?
1. Donate items for the pamper packs.
2. Sponsor your own PPP by donating cash.
